Responding to the psycho-social needs of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community

The Outreach programme aims to empower LGBTI people to take ownership of their rights, engage in self-development activities to foster acceptance and equality by the local community. The aim to improve accessibility to safe spaces and support for LGBTI people within their communities, thereby to assist in improving relationships based on understanding and respect between family members, stakeholders and communities and LGBTI people.

Strategic objective:

 The LGBTI community is empowered to take ownership of their rights, engage in self-help and self-development activities and have broader acceptance by the local community for equal and fair treatment.


Advice office

As a part of the Outreach Programme, we have an Advice Office at the Edendale Lay Ecumenical Centre.  We offer Counselling, HIV Testing and counselling, Support groups, Career guidance, Transgender specific services and referrals. Call us on 033 398 0004.
