The strategic objective of the research unit
To increase knowledge about factors affecting LGBTI people in order to influence GLN programming and external policies and legislation.
The research unit is about finding out more about the LGBTIQA+ community, researching about their needs that will help uplift LGBTIQA+ people. It’s about evidence based findings, that must help shape the polices; which influence the south African constitution. This unit it’s also about directing the programmes in GLN, directing GLN onto the relevant structures that GLN must be a part of in order to fulfil the goal of influencing polices.
